Antiques expert cuts ribbon to mark opening of new retirement homes

Antiques expert David Harper joined retirees in Darlington to celebrate the grand opening of Swinden Court – McCarthy and Stone’s new retirement living development.

Swinden Court, which is located on the former site of the Arts Centre, features a collection of luxurious one and two bedroom apartments exclusively for people over the age of 60.

To mark the development’s official opening on Wednesday, June 19th, 2019, David Harper, who is best known for appearing on BBC’s “Bargain Hunt”, gave a speech discussing his life as one of TV’s most prominent antiques experts before cutting the ribbon.
