Darlington FC manager puts Nick Hancock through his paces

Darlington FC manager Tommy Wright took time out from his busy schedule to offer Nick Hancock some tips on keeping fit and healthy while on tour.

Hancock is currently starring in the brand new British comedy “Octopus Soup” at Darlington Hippodrome, which will see him travel to Portsmouth, Eastbourne, Windsor, Cardiff, Swansea and Guildford.

Tommy Wright gave Nick advice on how to pace himself through each show to ensure he can give his best performance each and every night.

The pair also took time to discuss their favourite subject, football.

Nick Hancock said: “Performing on stage for two hours every night really does take it out of you, mentally and physically.

“The rush of adrenaline you get just before stepping on to the stage in front of an audience is amazing but it can also be very draining.”

“Tommy has given me plenty of ideas to help me keep fit and healthy during the tour and it was great to catch up on how Darlington Football Club are doing this season.”

“Octopus Soup” runs at Darlington Hippodrome from Tuesday, February 26th, 2019 to Saturday, March 2nd, 2019.
