Darlington Libraries Summer Events Programme 2018

Features

Darlington Libraries has announced a comic book-themed Summer Events Programme for 2018.

As part of the summer programme, Crown Street Library and Cockerton Library are holding a series of events, including a comic book masterclass with Kev F Sutherland – writer and artist for The Beano, Marvel and Doctor Who comics.

In addition to the events, Darlington Libraries is running a Summer Reading Challenge for 4-11 year olds.

To complete the challenge, children need to visit Crown Street Library or Cockerton Library three times over the summer period (Saturday, July 14th, 2018 – Saturday, September 1st, 2018):

  • Visit 1: Receive your map and get ready to hunt for the treasure, collect two of the six stickers and your wristband
  • Visit 2: Collect two more stickers and take a lucky dip in the SWAG bag.
  • Visit 3: Collect your final two stickers and voucher for entry into one of the Roarsome Soft Play parties.

You can find out more about the Darlington Libraries Summer Event Programme 2018 on their website.
