Darlington Markets launches new Shop Drop service for easier shopping experience

Visitors to Darlington Indoor Market will be able to pick up their shopping from a designated parking bay, as part of the new “Shop Drop” project.

Launching on Saturday, December 8th, 2018, the free service will allow shoppers to pre-order their fresh meat, groceries and produce from the independent market traders, which will then be brought out to the shopper’s car.

On arrival at the collection bay, shoppers will be able to ring their traders directly from the given business card, who will then personally bring the shopping to their car.

Nick Fenwick, a butcher based in the Indoor Market, said: “The launch of this project in time for Christmas means people ordering and collecting their turkeys and meat hampers for the seasonal celebrations can pre-order their food can just park right outside the building when coming to collect their shopping.”
