EE is set to create an additional 260 jobs at its Darlington and North Tyneside call centres, the mobile phone company has revealed.
The move is part of EE’s plans to base all its call centre workers in the UK.
Marc Allera, the chief executive of EE, said: “We’ve had fantastic feedback from our customers about the changes we’ve made so far and the number of complaints has plummeted – but we’re not stopping there.
“There’s still more we want to achieve to fully onshore all customer service roles and provide the best possible experience for our customers.”
The 260 jobs will be shared equally between the two sites at Darlington’s Yarm Road Industrial Estate and Cobalt Business Park near North Shields.
