Darlington Society of Arts Exhibition
Darlington Society of Arts was founded in 1922 by J Edward Hodgkin, RBA, FSA (Chairman) and John B Harrison (Hon Secretary) with the prime object of stimulating interest in and appreciation of art in Darlington and the surrounding area.
It has continued to fulfil this object in various guises and venues ever since. Darlington Society of Arts now meets on Wednesday evenings 7-9pm during term time at Hummersknott Academy.
There is a themed club night programme to inspire and give support to anyone who enjoys painting and crafting in a friendly setting.
The upcoming exhibition at Crown Street Library provides an opportunity to showcase members’ work and to reflect the diversity of their creative talents.
New members are welcome, beginners or experienced, to join the society and enjoy our upcoming workshops. For more information please email DarlingtonSOA@virginmedia.com or call 01325 242158.
