Jessica Fostekew & Andy Fury
Jessica has been performing comedy and working as a comedy writer and actress since 2005. In early 2008 she hit the UK stand up circuit, and in March 2012 she perfromed stand up on Stephen K Amos’ BBC Radio 4 show. Jess is a regular headliner at many of the most prestigious clubs in the UK, and performed her debut hour at the Edinburgh Festival in 2011, which sold out, got in The Independent Top Ten Edinburgh Newcomers 2011 and also the Amused Moose Laughter Awards Top Ten.
Jess is also a writer on Channel 4’s Stand Up For the Week and on BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Now Show’ and is developing various TV pilots, a number of shorts and a radio play, in addition to writing set-pieces for other comedy actors. Meanwhile, she’s also been seen on screen, most noticeably in BBC comedy Psychoville.
Despite starting comedy out of “sheer boredom” just a few years ago, Andy Fury has impressed a lot of people in a short space of time with a wonderful mix of self-deprecating dark jokes and off the wall surrealism.
With a laidback stage presence that sometimes borders horizontal, he’s as hard-working as he is funny and winning the Hilarity Bites New Act Of The Year 2010 title has put Andy on the path to working at many of the best clubs in the country, wowing audiences the length and breadth of the UK.
