International table football tournament to be held in Darlington

Europe’s best table football players will visit Darlington, as part of an international table football tournament at the Dolphin Centre.

The event, which takes place over three days beginning on Friday, October 26th, 2018, will feature a range of competitions.

One of the competitions is a beginner’s doubles event on Saturday, October 27th, 2018, which is open to anyone.

The event will be based on the 2018 World Cup, with participants being divided into eight groups of four with each duo representing a country.

Children can play alongside adults in the World Cup event, but there is also a separate children’s event on Sunday, October 28th, 2018 at 11am for under 15s.

Event organisers are urging people to grab a partner to take part. To pre-register, email martin.landers@ntlworld.com with the names of both players. Entry fee is £5 per person.

The whole event is open to the public and tournament organisers have declared the Saturday as a “family day”, where members of the public are invited to walk around and watch matches or compete against the world’s best players.
