Mangobean Darlington to open doors to homeless on Christmas Day

Mangobean Darlington will open its doors on Christmas Day to give people who are having a tough festive season a free meal and a hot drink.

Situated in the Feethams Leisure development, the coffee shop will be open between 12pm and 2pm and is inviting anyone who’s homeless or having a tough time through Christmas to join them.

This is the third year the coffee shop has ran the project, which has been well attended in previous years.

Posting on Facebook, the coffee shop said: “Mangobean would normally be closed on Christmas Day, but we’ve decided to open for a couple of hours between 12pm – 2pm.

“Any donations would be amazing. Whether it’s some food for the day or just a word of support please don’t hesitate to drop into our store!

“We want to invite anyone who’s homeless or just anyone who’s having a tough time through Christmas to come to Mangobean and have a meal and hot drink on us.”
