Savers reveals plans to move into former Argos site

Savers Health & Beauty has revealed plans to move into the former site of Argos on Skinnergate in Darlington.

The UK discount chain retailer, which offers a selection of heath, beauty, household goods, medicines and fragrances, has submitted a planning permission application to Darlington Borough Council to move from its current site at 67 Skinnergate to 13-16 Skinnergate.

The application outlines some of the alterations the company would make to the retail unit, including the “removal of the existing externally mounted roller shutter over the entrance doors” to be replaced with new ones.

Other proposed changes include the replacement of the existing fascia signage with “new externally illuminated aluminium fascia signs and new hanging sign”, as well as the installation of new fixtures, fittings, ceiling, lighting, electrics and partitions.
