Stable Hearth announces opening date for Darlington restaurant

Following months of “unexpected setbacks”, the Stable Hearth has announced the opening date of its Darlington restaurant.

The wood fired food and artisan pizzeria, which is based on 33-35 Duke Street in Darlington, will open its doors at 6pm on Wednesday, December 20th, 2017.

Stable Hearth was previously based in Gainford, though closed in May 2017 due to the restaurant relocating to Darlington town centre.

The move was expected to take between six to eight weeks, although the new restaurant experienced some “unexpected setbacks”, the majority of which have been overcome.

When it opens, the restaurant will be serving Neapolitan pizzas and sides, as well as Italian wines, beers, gins and other spirits.

The restaurant will be expanding its food menu from January to include antipasti boards and other Italian cuisine.
